Amy Winehouse has been set free on bail following her arrest in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice.
She was arrested and taken into custody earlier this week for questioning in the case, which stems from the involvement of her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.
Scotland Yard, which does not name suspects until after they are charged with a crime, stated: “A 24-year-old woman has been bailed to return to an East London police station on a date in early March pending further inquiries.”
Amy Winehouse was arrested Tuesday in East London.
The Back to Black singer was taken in custody this week for questioning in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice.
Amy Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is currently remanded in custody on charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to an assault case that had been pending against him and one other man.
Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, and Michael Brown are accused of assaulting James King, the landlord of Macbeths public house in Hoxton, East London, on June 20.
It is alleged that they conspired to pervert justice by offering King a significant amount of money to withdraw his allegation and leave England.
